The Long Line

Your dog has learned to sit in the previous lesson, Book One, “Basic Obedience Training”. Now we will go to the next step and you will be teaching your dog to Sit and Stay and then Down & Stay. Both the Sit & Stay and the Down & Stay means the dog will hold the those positions until another command or release word is given.

Come and At Ease

Your dog is learning to come and sit in a specific place in front of you when called, “Spot Come.” We use the words “At Ease” to release him from this instruction.

This teaches the young dog when and how to become house broken
so that you can begin to relax and enjoy the puppy dog.

Good nutrition will help you maintain a healthy dog. There are choices between dry food and canned dog food. You need to be aware of the ingredients of the food you are feeding your dog. We give you some good advise for the things you want to look for in your dog food.
